Option 1
For the complete solution, we supply a brand new LSD unit, which can be set up to suit your exact needs. This also comes with a new pinion shaft and crown wheel, which come in a variety of popular ratios.

The Pinion is a two-piece design so ratios can be changed without needing to change the entire shaft. Ease of ratio change is also improved by the crown wheel fitment, which is interchangeable without buying a new LSD unit. CWP have straight cut teeth to minimize power losses making it perfect for motorsport use. Please note. Our Crown wheels are only compatible with Tran-X LSD's.

Ratios available are: 4.92:1 3.9:1 3.76:1

Option 2
For fast road or light motorsport use, we can fit the crown wheel from your standard diff unit. This is done by removing the standard crown wheel and machining it so it can fit onto our LSD unit. The crown wheel is secured by fitting it onto lugs in the LSD and then held in place by the LSD end plate. The endplate secured with bolts to make it extra secure, this ensures there can be no radial or axial movement, and not a circlip in sight!

When sending us your standard LSD we also need the pinion shaft for inspection to ensure your new LSD unit will provide you with a long service life.

Option 3
If it is not possible to send you standard diff and pinion, the crown wheel can be fitted by the customer. This must be done by a reputable engineering company and full engineering drawings will be provided to ensure you get the best from your LSD. Tran-X will not be held responsible for any engineering work undertaken by the customer or the effect this has on the performance of your new LSD. Therefore Tran-X recommend that the units are sent to us for machining and fitment and only use this option if there is no other option available.
